MAICCI has planned for a working visit to Vietnam and Sri Lanka in the 1st quarter of 2011. Vietnam is one of the fastest growing economies in Asia in the last decade. Sri Lanka has settled well after the internal revolts and opened up well for developments with vast growth in all sectors. Both Governments have shown favorable responses for foreign investments by restructuring their economies for fast and sustainable development.

The Malaysian Associated Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry sponsored 7 members of the Constituent Chambers to the 9th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Convention which was held from the 7th to 9th January 2011. The full travel fare and the Registration charges were paid by MAICCI.

The convention was said to have opened the doors for investment in India and formed a large networking with the Indian Diaspora globally.
