MAICCI 3rd MANAGEMENT COUNCIL MEETING
The President of the Kedah Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KICCI), Mr. Sham Sunder Ratnani who is also the Vice President of MAICCI, along with EXCO members hosted the 3rd Management Council Meeting (MCM) of MAICCI on the 19th May 2007 at Hotel Sri Malaysia, Sungai Petani, Kedah. It is MAICCI’s culture that all state chambers will take turns in hosting MCMs in their respective states.
A change of location and environment does bring about a lot of positive vibe among the members. It strengthens the bond, understanding & co-operation between state chambers and MAICCI. New thoughts were shared and resolutions made to propel MAICCI to greater heights to lead our Indian entrepreneurs towards success.

KICCI GALA DINNER 2007
The MCM was followed by KICCI Gala Dinner 2007 in the evening, afund raising project for the Chamber, which took place at the Cinta Sayang Golf & Country Resort. MAICCI President Mr. Pardip Kumar Kukreja was the chief guest of this event. Among the other VIPs who attended the Gala Dinner were the Presidents of the Malay and the Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry. About 350 guests attended this Gala Dinner. Renowned singers and musicians entertained the guests while dining. To add variety and flavour to the show there were also performances of modern dances, bhangra and bharathanatyam.
Mr.Pardip also took this opportunity to raise funds for the reconstruction of the Ghandi Memorial Hall at Sungai Petani which was spearheaded by Mr. Sham Sunder Ratnani himself.

KEDAH INDIAN ENTREPRENEURS OF THE YEAR AWARD 2007
Among the other highlights was the selection of the “Kedah Indian Businessman of the Year Award” by KICCI. Three (3) entrepreneurs from different categories were honored. They were Mr. Vasudevan of Muthaya Holdings (Trading ), Mr. Thulasiraman of K.V.M. Thulasiraman (M) Sdn. Bhd. ( Manufacturing) and Mr. Sugumaran (popularly known as Kumar) of Vimal Automobile Sdn. Bhd. Mr. Sugumaran swept the overall “Kedah Indian Businessman of the Year Award for the year 2007. Awards were presented by MAICCI President, Mr. Pardip Kumar Kukreja.
MAICCI congratulates Mr. Sham Sunder Ratnani, the President of KICCI and the Vice President of MAICCI , the Gala Dinner Organising Chairman Mr. Selvarajoo who is also the Honorary Secretary General of KICCI and the rest of the team members for successfully organizing the MCM and the Gala Dinner 2007.
