KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Maicci) has accepted the Kuala Lumpur Putrajaya Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry as their latest member.
Maicci president Datuk K.K. Eswaran said the newest member had a membership of numerous Indian-based organisations in Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya.
“With their admission, we will be looking after the interests of many Indian businesses in the Klang Valley,” he told reporters after chairing their management council meeting here yesterday.
He said the new member would complement the membership of the Selangor and Federal Territory Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Eswaran added that Maicci and MIC would jointly organise an economic congress in the first quarter of next year to tap into opportunities for Indians under the New Economic Model.
