Cabinet's Decision on CTOS
Cabinets decision to stop all
government agencies, ministries, financial institutions and banks
from using the services of CTOS is highly commendable.
The article
on the decision is as follows:
The Cabinet has instructed all government agencies and ministries
that give out loans to stop using CTOS Sdn Bhd for credit reference.
All financial institutions and banks have also been told to stop
using CTOS for credit reference of loan applicants.
Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs, Minister Datuk Mohd Shafie Apdal
said they should instead use the service provided by Bank Negara
through its Central Credit Reference Information System (CCRIS)
which is more accurate.
“At the ministry’s post-Cabinet meeting yesterday, it was decided
that among the measures to address the CTOS problem is, to stop using
its services” – Bernama

MIHA-
Gala Dinner 2007
The formation of an
association long overdue to maintain the history on the origins of
Indians dating back 3 centuries in Malaysia is at last gaining
momentum. Visionary A.S Shanmugam has taken the onus and established
Malaysian Indian Historical Association ( MIHA).
On the occasion of the official launch of MIHA, luminaries from all
walks of life will pay tributes to our forefathers who have laid a
solid foundation for the present generation of Indians. For a
sustained longevity of the Indian community MIHA will set aside
funds for a research wing in their scheme of things that are being
formulated. This will be part of an exclusive building for the
express purpose of housing the MIHA headquarters.
Hence on behalf of MIHA we request all members of Indian
associations and the general public to support this noble cause
wholeheartedly.
The official launching and gala dinner will be officiated by Y.B
Dato’ Seri Dr. S. Samy Vellu, Minister of Works and President of
Malaysian Indian Congress Malaysia. This event will be held on
8th August 2007 at 7.30 p.m@ Dewan Wawasan , Convention
Exhibition Center, Menara PGRM, Jalan Pudu, KL.
