The Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) has issued the second consultative document on the proposed framework for the "Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) in Malaysia" as an alternative form of business vehicle. The second consultative document incorporates deliberation on the concept of the proposed LLP towards formulating a more comprehensive framework.

The proposal was intended to complement the existing forms of business vehicles by providing a wider choice for businesses to structure their operations, which would make us more competitive regionally and internationally.

The proposed LLP will offer a combination of limited liability for its members and the flexibility of the partnership arrangement for the internal arrangement of its business.

SSM has invited comments posed to enable them to make due assessments on the subject matter at hand. Therefore, we would appreciate if you make reference to the relevant paragraphs when reverting with feedback or providing answers to the given questions.
