Greetings from MAICCI!
A Networking Cocktail was held on the 19th April 2007 at the
Renaissance Convention Centre, Kuala Lumpur at 6.30pm between MAICCI
and European Union-Malaysian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (EU-
MCCI) members.
EU-MCCI is an umbrella organization for all Chambers of Commerce and
Business Councils of the European Union countries in Malaysia. It has about
1000 members in which 70% are European companies and the rest are Malaysian
companies.
About 100 members from various businesses attended this session. Among them
are the Business People, Bankers, Lawyers, Consultants, Accountants and
Academicians.
The President of MAICCI, Mr. Pardip Kumar Kukreja and the Deputy Chairman of
EU-MCCI, Mr. Jean- Francois Jadin delivered their opening speeches. Both
leaders stressed the importance of this networking session for it had
created a platform for members of both chambers to meet and establish good
business networking. This session is quite unique for both chambers because
it falls outside the norm where all the while networking is done within the
members of the same chambers as what both leaders quoted as like “fish
swimming in the same pond”.
The guests were served with variety of finger food and beverages. The two
and a half hour session was so lively, productive and benefited
members of both chambers.
Our members expressed their appreciation for organizing such a fruitful
event. One of our corporate member, Mr. Valens who is in the IT &
Advertising industry said that this session really benefited him. He had
successfully secured a few prospects as regards to web development and media
communications and he also quoted that MAICCI should continuously organize
such great events.
Since the response was so good Mr. Jean-Francois Jadin recommended this
session to be held annually.
